After waiting for so long to remove my wisdom teeth due to the timing never being right and not really finding an office I felt comfortable with, I came across Dr. Fong via google and Yelp. Seeing all the great reviews, especially concerning teeth removal, made me reach out as it sounded exactly like the place I was looking for. I spoke with Sylvia, who was always so kind and helpful, and finally, after a year, I was able to really put the process in motion. I reached back out to Sylvia, who was just as nice as the initial interaction, and finally got a consultation set up, which was very easy. Coming in, it was such a cozy nostalgic office (with plenty of parking), and I got to meet Mia; Mia was just as kind and helpful as Sylvia, so it was awesome to see all the staff were so great. Meeting Dr. Fong, he was super friendly and informative, just like his staff, and I finally felt comfortable with an office to get this procedure done. I scheduled right after my consultation to come in a week later for the procedure. When I came for the procedure, I finally got to meet Sylvia, and she and Mia made sure I felt welcomed and prepared. When Dr. Fong arrived he too was so welcoming, and the staff as a whole made me feel super comfortable; they all communicated so thoroughly. My teeth were out in a bit under an hour, Dr. Fong and Mia communicated with me the entire time - it all went well! After the surgery, Sylvia followed up with me, and so did Dr. Fong on several occasions. They were sure to be available for any questions or concerns, which I truly appreciated. I'm so glad I found this office and would definitely recommend them!

I have anxiety and hadn't seen a dentist since before Covid, and he was very good with me during a somewhat emergent visit. He addressed all my concerns ahead of time and took the time to personally review and explain options. I even received a follow-up call that evening to make sure I was doing OK. The office staff is very knowledgeable with insurance billing and there are no surprises. If you are looking for a local, ethical and pleasant dental experience, I am happy to recommend Dr. Fong. Also to note, the sanitation practices and Covid precautions the staff takes are excellent, and I was very comfortable getting treatment here.

First met Kevin Fong DDS in December 2021 needing a wisdom tooth removed. Soon there after my dentist of 40yrs.retired& I needed another. Today Dr. Wong took a full set of x-rays, examined my gums&teeth, also did the cleaning himself! He was impressed with the previous work, but more importantly, I was impressed with him.

I was a patient of Dr. Fong's for several years until I moved out to the Central Valley and the drive was too far while I was working. I have been having pain in a tooth on a bridge that Dr. Fong did for me 16 years ago. My new dentist in Patterson didn't think anything was wrong, but the issue persisted. I reached out to Dr. Fong's office and quickly got an appointment to see him. He took the time to listen to exactly what I was feeling with the tooth and bridge and figured out the problem. He gave me multiple options for solution down the road, as the issue wasn't a dire one, but also took the time to do an adjustment that was instantly a relief. Couple day ago I started feeling some tooth ache around my wisdom tooth. I was scheduled to go to a different dentist but the soonest appointment they had was till a week later. I usually don't do reviews, but I had to leave one for Dr Fong. I had bad experiences with other dentists before but had to find a new dentist and was recommended to Dr Fong by a co-worker. This co-worker has been with Dr Fong for years and highly recommended him. Dr Fong and his staff were friendly and helpful. Like many people, my son is never thrilled to visit the dentist especially when it comes to extracting his wisdom teeth. However, Dr Fong and his team were very welcoming when you walk in and made us feel at home. He's funny, has great communication and explained everything thoroughly which made my son and us feel at ease. In addition, he has fantastic follow through which you don't see nor expect from any dentist. Lastly, we are amazed how great my son is doing after his extraction. He has no swelling and has very little pain. All my other children had their wisdom teeth removed by other dentists, but my son had the best and fastest recovery with Dr Fong! When I called to schedule our appointment the front desk was very informative and helpful. She scheduled us right away. Dr Fong has been my dentist for maybe the past 30 years or more? Not only is he and the office staff very warm, personable, truly caring and helpful, but Also trustworthy. I know they will never try to sell me services I don't need or charge more than what is fair. And most importantly Dr. Fong and his hygienist do great work. Even on cleanings, Dr. Fong does the work himself. It really takes skill and experience even in a cleaning because it's an art to clean teeth well without damaging them. I was going to some other dentists for a few years when I moved to the tri valley due to proximity. But they never did a good job cleaning my teeth and it was also the hygienist who did it. The hygienists who were cleaning my teeth just didn't have the touch. And The dentist would do a quick glance afterwards but really not add much value. I would highly recommend Dr. Fong and his team if you are looking for a dentist or unsatisfied with your own.

UPDATE: Recently my daughter had an abscessed tooth during the shelter in place. I immediately texted the office and luckily was able to bring her in to see Dr. Fong. He quickly removed the tooth and my daughter felt immediate relief. As you can imagine we were hesitant to go into the office due to Covid-19 but was very appreciative that the experience went so smoothly. This post is on behalf of my boyfriend's & I experience w/ Dr. Fong. My boyfriend was looking to get wisdom teeth pulled out a couple weeks ago. After experiencing another horrible Oral surgeon office, I decided to look on yelp for suggestions and came across Dr. Fong. The lady I called to set the appointment with and communicated with was extremely sweet and helpful. She was able to book the appointment right away. My boyfriend got ALL FOUR of his wisdom teeth pulled out the same week at such a GREAT PRICE. Not only did his surgery go well, but Dr. Fong was always available via phone if we had any questions or concerns during the after care process. I've never seen a Dentist genuinely care so much for their patient. Definitely go visit him for your dental needs!!

As a child and young adult I avoided the dentist at all costs because of bad experiences. Then I found Dr. Fong and his team. Their chair side manner and practice made me feel comfortable in a dentist’s office for the first time. I went from visiting a dentist only when I had a problem to regular cleaning visits over the past 12 years. My 3 children (6, 9, and 11 years old) have been coming to Dr. Fong since they were old enough for cleanings and the love it. I used to kick and scream about going to the dentist at their age. Thanks to my WONDERFUL friend for telling me about Dr. Fong. Both of my sons needed their wisdom teeth extracted and were referred to an oral surgeon. They offered financing (you know what that means..) I live in El Dorado County but it was well worth the drive to Hayward twice. I had the most diabolical toothache in the history of man, and my regular dentist could not perform the extraction necessary to remedy the pain, so she referred me to an oral surgeon in her network that was out of town and could not fix me for a week. Unacceptable. Thank God for yelp, I was able to find Dr. Fong and they were able to book as early as I could come in. This is my first yelp review in a couple of years, I mean, I've lost some faith in some businesses and in people in general, but I have to give this office the props they deserve. The office staff was super friendly, and totally genuine. Not the fake nice that you get from normal receptionists who give you fake smiles and fake sweet voices because it's their job. These people were genuinely kind and attentive. Filled out some straightforward paperwork, took an x-ray, and saw the doctor. No waiting in a waiting room, then waiting in an x-ray room, then waiting in a chair etc... Came in, they did everything efficiently and the doctor came and took care of me. He took about 15 minutes asking and answering questions and explaining the procedure, and then another 10 minutes performing the "surgery." I was awake and anesthetized only in the area he was cutting, and honestly, I didn't even realize that the tooth was already out until he said, "okay, I'm done." Quick, painless and a breeze. Now the service and price itself deserve five stars, but this guy went above and beyond. The staff was babysitting my 8 year old son in the waiting room when his ipod touch ran out of battery, and the doctor called and asked his son to bring him a charger. Needless to say, my boy did not get bored waiting for me to finish. The follow up- world class. That evening, the office staff called to make sure I was okay, and then Dr. Fong even took a call at an Oakland A's game to answer questions. Yes, they gave me his cell phone in case I had an emergency over the weekend. I have scheduled appointments for the rest of my family. The dentist is not usually something I get too excited about, but this place rocks. To the professionally feng shui office, to the excellent staff, to the doctor, five stars all around.

Very good dentist. Very honest and what i like about dr. Fong is that he works with you. He does care about you and not just trying to get money out of you or insurance.from 1-10 i give him a 10. Very profesional and explains everything in detail, and is staff..greatest team out there. I hated going to dentist but after meeting dr Fong and his staff, im not scared of going any more. Feels weird writing a review for a dentist BUT, this place and staff deserve it. Went in for a wisdom tooth extraction and I have to say, he was quick to the point, took less than 10 minutes, and mind you, I was a walk-in trying to set up an appointment for later that week. I loved that he didn't try to give me an expensive procedure which makes me all that more comfortable coming here. Keep up the good work and I shall be back to remove the rest of my wisdom teeth soon!

They’re not only kind and caring, but they also provide exceptional customer service and are extremely knowledgeable. After waiting for so long to remove my wisdom teeth due to the timing never being right and not really finding an office I felt comfortable with, I came across Dr. Fong via google and Yelp. Seeing all the great reviews, especially concerning teeth removal, made me reach out as it sounded exactly like the place I was looking for. I spoke with Sylvia, who was always so kind and helpful, and finally, after a year, I was able to really put the process in motion. I reached back out to Sylvia, who was just as nice as the initial interaction, and finally got a consultation set up, which was very easy. Coming in, it was such a cozy nostalgic office (with plenty of parking), and I got to meet Mia; Mia was just as kind and helpful as Sylvia, so it was awesome to see all the staff were so great. Meeting Dr. Fong, he was super friendly and informative, just like his staff, and I finally felt comfortable with an office to get this procedure done. I scheduled right after my consultation to come in a week later for the procedure. When I came for the procedure, I finally got to meet Sylvia, and she and Mia made sure I felt welcomed and prepared. When Dr. Fong arrived he too was so welcoming, and the staff as a whole made me feel super comfortable; they all communicated so thoroughly. My teeth were out in a bit under an hour, Dr. Fong and Mia communicated with me the entire time - it all went well! After the surgery, Sylvia followed up with me, and so did Dr. Fong on several occasions. They were sure to be available for any questions or concerns, which I truly appreciated. I'm so glad I found this office and would definitely recommend them!

I have anxiety and hadn't seen a dentist since before Covid, and he was very good with me during a somewhat emergent visit. He addressed all my concerns ahead of time and took the time to personally review and explain options. I even received a follow-up call that evening to make sure I was doing OK. The office staff is very knowledgeable with insurance billing and there are no surprises. If you are looking for a local, ethical and pleasant dental experience, I am happy to recommend Dr. Fong. Also to note, the sanitation practices and Covid precautions the staff takes are excellent, and I was very comfortable getting treatment here.

First met Kevin Fong DDS in December 2021 needing a wisdom tooth removed. Soon there after my dentist of 40yrs.retired& I needed another. Today Dr. Wong took a full set of x-rays, examined my gums&teeth, also did the cleaning himself! He was impressed with the previous work, but more importantly, I was impressed with him.
Dr. Fong and his team are awesome! He was recommended to us by our friend several years ago and we've been going there since. Thumbs up!!

I was a patient of Dr. Fong's for several years until I moved out to the Central Valley and the drive was too far while I was working. I have been having pain in a tooth on a bridge that Dr. Fong did for me 16 years ago. My new dentist in Patterson didn't think anything was wrong, but the issue persisted. I reached out to Dr. Fong's office and quickly got an appointment to see him. He took the time to listen to exactly what I was feeling with the tooth and bridge and figured out the problem. He gave me multiple options for solution down the road, as the issue wasn't a dire one, but also took the time to do an adjustment that was instantly a relief. He and his staff (Sylvia and Mia) were wonderful and I am now returning as a patient to his dental practice. Worth the drive (and I'm retired now, so easier ) Thank you, Dr. Fong!

Couple day ago I started feeling some tooth ache around my wisdom tooth. I was scheduled to go to a different dentist but the soonest appointment they had was till a week later. Then today I couldn’t bear with the pain no more so I started lookin for a different dentist who can take me in & luckily I found Kevin. Recently moved to the area. Have had tooth pain on and off for a while before moving here. Dr Fong was very thorough and discussed my options . I decided to have 2 wisdom teeth extracted . One last week and the second one done yesterday . I feel fine. My expectation is that they will continue to heal and not be a problem anymore. Yes, I would recommend Dr Fong

I usually don't do reviews, but I had to leave one for Dr Fong. I had bad experiences with other dentists before but had to find a new dentist and was recommended to Dr Fong by a co-worker. This co-worker has been with Dr Fong for years and highly recommended him. Dr Fong and his staff were friendly and helpful. They took their time and went through the needed work I had to do with my teeth. He does not push for unnecessary procedures. I have been so happy with Dr Fong that I can say I have been going to him and his staff for years too.

Like many people, my son is never thrilled to visit the dentist especially when it comes to extracting his wisdom teeth. However, Dr Fong and his team were very welcoming when you walk in and made us feel at home. He's funny, has great communication and explained everything thoroughly which made my son and us feel at ease. In addition, he has fantastic follow through which you don't see nor expect from any dentist. Lastly, we are amazed how great my son is doing after his extraction. He has no swelling and has very little pain. All my other children had their wisdom teeth removed by other dentists, but my son had the best and fastest recovery with Dr Fong! For anyone who's in the Hayward area and looking for a great dentist, I would highly recommend visiting Dr Fong!

I have seen Dr. Fong since I was in elementary school, and I now drive all the way from Livermore to Hayward with my 2 young kids to see him! He is kind, funny, personable, caring, and very professional! His explanations are thorough, and I am always confident he is making appropriate clinical decisions!! I have tried other dentist, but have yet to find one that comes close to being as good.

I don't normally write reviews, but felt like I would this time! My wife and I were looking for a new dentist, I looked everywhere until I found Dr. Fong. When I called to schedule our appointment the front desk was very informative and helpful. She scheduled us right away. My wife and I both thought Silvia and Mia were sweet, informative, and knowledgeable. Dr. Fong did such a great job cleaning my teeth. They are all very kind and humble. He was the first dentist I had that was straightforward and took the time to make us both feel comfortable. He even asked which pronoun my wife preferred which I thought was awesome.
Dr Fong has been my dentist for maybe the past 30 years or more? Not only is he and the office staff very warm, personable, truly caring and helpful, but Also trustworthy. I know they will never try to sell me services I don't need or charge more than what is fair. And most importantly Dr. Fong and his hygienist do great work. Even on cleanings, Dr. Fong does the work himself. It really takes skill and experience even in a cleaning because it's an art to clean teeth well without damaging them. I was going to some other dentists for a few years when I moved to the tri valley due to proximity. But they never did a good job cleaning my teeth and it was also the hygienist who did it. The hygienists who were cleaning my teeth just didn't have the touch. And The dentist would do a quick glance afterwards but really not add much value. I would highly recommend Dr. Fong and his team if you are looking for a dentist or unsatisfied with your own.
Our family has been seeing Dr. Fong for 27 years. Same staff still. That says a lot, too! It’s not that we visit the dentist…we visit family! Now my kids are bringing their significant others to his practice. It’s really not a practice…it’s perfect! Great office, service, and SMILES!

UPDATE: Recently my daughter had an abscessed tooth during the shelter in place. I immediately texted the office and luckily was able to bring her in to see Dr. Fong. He quickly removed the tooth and my daughter felt immediate relief. As you can imagine we were hesitant to go into the office due to Covid-19 but was very appreciative that the experience went so smoothly. Kevin Fong and staff are friendly and make going to the dentist a less stressful experience. Our entire family has been going here for several years now and have been happy with our experience. The office is clean and their hours are accommodating. Even the kids don’t mind going in for their six month check up.

This post is on behalf of my boyfriend's & I experience w/ Dr. Fong. My boyfriend was looking to get wisdom teeth pulled out a couple weeks ago. After experiencing another horrible Oral surgeon office, I decided to look on yelp for suggestions and came across Dr. Fong. The lady I called to set the appointment with and communicated with was extremely sweet and helpful. She was able to book the appointment right away. My boyfriend got ALL FOUR of his wisdom teeth pulled out the same week at such a GREAT PRICE. Not only did his surgery go well, but Dr. Fong was always available via phone if we had any questions or concerns during the after care process. I've never seen a Dentist genuinely care so much for their patient. Definitely go visit him for your dental needs!!

I simply can not say enough he is as great as they come. His knowledge, care and patience for his patient in the chair is just amazing. I had a molar that needed to be pulled because it wasn't a savable one. And in just a few moments after painless pokes with anesthesia it was out! i couldn't believe it. As a child and young adult I avoided the dentist at all costs because of bad experiences. Then I found Dr. Fong and his team. Their chair side manner and practice made me feel comfortable in a dentist’s office for the first time. I went from visiting a dentist only when I had a problem to regular cleaning visits over the past 12 years. My 3 children (6, 9, and 11 years old) have been coming to Dr. Fong since they were old enough for cleanings and the love it. I used to kick and scream about going to the dentist at their age. My children actually get excited. My wife, brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew also started using Dr. Fong because of our positive experience. He is also great about being realistic with my needs and I never feel like we are paying for unnecessary procedures.
Dr. Fong extracted both of my sons' wisdom teeth under local anesthesia. Recovery was quick and saved me a bunch of $$!

I'm guessing that the only reason his practice isn't busier is because it's a bit tricky to find. Old-school, no shiny gimmicks, great practice.
Dr. Fong has been mine and my family's dentist for over 10 years. The staff is also warm and friendly. This is definitely a family-like practice where he get's to know his patients and remembers conversations from the last visit 6 months prior. He makes visiting the dentist a fun experience like visiting a friend. He is meticulous he is with his work and I wouldn't trust my teeth with anyone else.
Thanks to my WONDERFUL friend for telling me about Dr. Fong. Both of my sons needed their wisdom teeth extracted and were referred to an oral surgeon. They offered financing (you know what that means..) I live in El Dorado County but it was well worth the drive to Hayward twice. I was actually able to pay for services without having to obtain a loan! Yay!
I had the most diabolical toothache in the history of man, and my regular dentist could not perform the extraction necessary to remedy the pain, so she referred me to an oral surgeon in her network that was out of town and could not fix me for a week. Unacceptable. Thank God for yelp, I was able to find Dr. Fong and they were able to book as early as I could come in. This is my first yelp review in a couple of years, I mean, I've lost some faith in some businesses and in people in general, but I have to give this office the props they deserve. The office staff was super friendly, and totally genuine. Not the fake nice that you get from normal receptionists who give you fake smiles and fake sweet voices because it's their job. These people were genuinely kind and attentive. Filled out some straightforward paperwork, took an x-ray, and saw the doctor. No waiting in a waiting room, then waiting in an x-ray room, then waiting in a chair etc... Came in, they did everything efficiently and the doctor came and took care of me. He took about 15 minutes asking and answering questions and explaining the procedure, and then another 10 minutes performing the "surgery." I was awake and anesthetized only in the area he was cutting, and honestly, I didn't even realize that the tooth was already out until he said, "okay, I'm done." Quick, painless and a breeze. Now the service and price itself deserve five stars, but this guy went above and beyond. The staff was babysitting my 8 year old son in the waiting room when his ipod touch ran out of battery, and the doctor called and asked his son to bring him a charger. Needless to say, my boy did not get bored waiting for me to finish. The follow up- world class. That evening, the office staff called to make sure I was okay, and then Dr. Fong even took a call at an Oakland A's game to answer questions. Yes, they gave me his cell phone in case I had an emergency over the weekend. I have scheduled appointments for the rest of my family. The dentist is not usually something I get too excited about, but this place rocks. To the professionally feng shui office, to the excellent staff, to the doctor, five stars all around.
Very good dentist. Very honest and what i like about dr. Fong is that he works with you. He does care about you and not just trying to get money out of you or insurance.from 1-10 i give him a 10. Very profesional and explains everything in detail, and is staff..greatest team out there. I hated going to dentist but after meeting dr Fong and his staff, im not scared of going any more. Now i feel i have to go to take care of what needs to be taken care of and i know it's getting taken care of right and correct.

Feels weird writing a review for a dentist BUT, this place and staff deserve it. Went in for a wisdom tooth extraction and I have to say, he was quick to the point, took less than 10 minutes, and mind you, I was a walk-in trying to set up an appointment for later that week. I loved that he didn't try to give me an expensive procedure which makes me all that more comfortable coming here. Keep up the good work and I shall be back to remove the rest of my wisdom teeth soon!
